About Us
Julian Stolzenberg is the founder of Kite Communication Coaching, dedicated to helping individuals and groups improve their interpersonal communication skills. Julian focuses on interactions where there is pressure, such as presentations, pitches, bids, interviews, chairing meetings, or challenging one-on-one conversations.
Having trained as an actor at RADA and performed with prestigious theatre companies like the RSC, The Royal National Theatre, and Shakespeare’s Globe, Julian understands the pressures of engaging an audience. His experience ranges from small venues to arenas with 16,000 people. This wealth of performance experience, coupled with a Masters in Voice Studies from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, equips Julian with a vast array of tools to help clients handle high-pressure communication scenarios.
Julian believes that engaging any audience effectively is a learned skill underpinned by technique. Being a subject matter expert is not enough; understanding the physical, physiological, and psychological processes involved in communication is crucial. Julian emphasizes that without proper training, individuals are essentially ‘winging it,’ which undermines confidence. Technique provides the foundation for confidence, allowing individuals to master any communication scenario, whether face-to-face or virtual.
Julian’s approach is centred on the idea that communication skills develop through habits and behaviours, not innate talent. He champions his ‘three S words’: Simple, Specific, and Subtle. Simple, specific, and subtle changes in communication habits can significantly impact how individuals feel and how their audience perceives them. Julian’s methods are designed to make profound and positive changes quickly, focusing on refining existing skills and heightening awareness, so clients can communicate with total control and confidence in any environment.
